Inspired by nature,
designed for everyday living.

What I do

Designing a home isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how it feels to live in every day.

I create calm, cohesive interiors that are thoughtfully designed around you, your lifestyle, your routines, and the atmosphere you want to come home to.

Through a considered design process, I bring together layout, materials, colour and furnishings to create spaces that feel natural, balanced and quietly beautiful.

Who it's for

I work with homeowners mainly across Cork, Kerry and Limerick who want a home that is designed around them, their lifestyle, their routines, and how they want to feel in their space.

Whether you’re renovating, building, or updating your home and want a space that not only looks visually appealing but also functions for you. A home that supports your wellbeing and feels calm and comfortable to live in. My role is to guide that process, helping you shape a home that reflects you and works for the way you live.

What I offer

I provide a range of interior design services to support homeowners in Munster at different stages of their project. From initial ideas through to detailed design development and visualisation.

Each service is tailored to your individual needs for your home and what you want to achieve.

About Me

interiors designer graduation

Hello, I’m Marguerite Thompson, an interior designer based in Ballingeary, Co. Cork, Ireland. Interior design has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I feel very lucky that it’s now what I get to do every day.

I grew up on a farm in the Irish countryside in West Cork. Being surrounded by nature from such a young age gave me a real appreciation for calm, natural spaces, and that still shows up in my work today through biophilic design and the use of natural materials and textures.

Some of my earliest memories are of sketching house plans in notebooks, creating imaginary spaces in the woods, and following my mom around as she changed rooms in our home. I was always fascinated by how much a space could change how you feel.

That interest stayed with me as I got older. I studied Interior Architecture first before specialising in Interior Design, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Technology in Technological University of the Shannon in Limerick. My education gave me a strong technical foundation, but also confirmed that I wanted to focus fully on interiors and how people actually live in a space.

After my studies, I gained experience in the industry in studios such as Boulevard Interiors and working with Mairead Collier Interiors, where I learned a lot about residential design, materials, and the detail that goes into bringing a project together.

Today, I’m focused on my own client projects and building my design business. I’m constantly inspired by nature, travel, and everyday life, and I love creating spaces that feel personal, calm, and genuinely lived in.
